We hope you can join us this weekend at the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary (PBM+C) Art Fair.
Our exhibit includes a wide variety of works by modern artists like Robert Rauschenberg and Keith Haring and works by contemporary artist like Katherine Bernhardt and generative artist Tyler Hobbs.
One of the most timely and compelling works on view is Robert Rauschenberg's Soviet/American Array II, 1988-90. The work was done for ROCI, the Rauschenberg Overseas Cultural Interchange, a project that the artist created in the 1980s. Rauschenberg had traveled extensively and wanted to foster cultural exchanges in cities around the world in an effort to foster understanding and peace.
Rauschenberg used his own photographs of New York and Moscow to create Soviet/American Array II.
Between 1984 and 1991, Rauschenberg sponsored touring exhibits throughout the world, hoping to create harmony and understanding among different cultures through art.
The works of Robert Rauschenberg are currently on exhibit at M+ Museum in Hong Kong. Robert Rauschenberg and Asia will be on view through April 2026.
The works we have on view at PBM+C include Fine Art Prints, paintings and sculptures. Many contemporary artists, like Tyler Hobbs, Katherine Bernhardt, Julian Opie and Alex Katz work in a variety of medium.
Tyler Hobbs digitally generates works and translates them into physical artworks. Both Katherine Bernhardt’s paintings and sculptures are available at VFA, as are Julian Opie’s lenticular panels and an OY sculpture by Deborah Kass.
Here’s a preview of the artworks that will be on display at Vertu Fine Art Booth C2 at PBM+C.
Hope you can join us.
